KEY RESULT

Bringing members and delegates back together after 2 years of COVID-induced separation

The Challenge

FSBPT last met in person in late 2019 to discuss physical therapy topics of interest, debate newly-proposed action items, and vote on the installment of new board and committee members. Since then, the pandemic has required the group to meet virtually, with We & Goliath fluidly handling these meetings. Now, with government travel restrictions for all 150 members having been lifted, the organization was excited to once again greet each other in person at their favorite Alexandria, VA, venue. Yet some members – including voting delegates – still had to wrestle with having active cases of COVID. We & Goliath had produced a predominantly prerecorded, “simulive” Candidate Forum for FSBPT just the week prior as a means to introduce new board and committee nominees to the Federation, so it was a relatively easy challenge to step in and find an equitable, interactive broadcast solution for the main conference.

Our Solution

We & Goliath has developed a lightweight, three-camera hybrid event system that can be quickly shipped – or even flown – anywhere in North America. This system can be fully assembled in under 2 hours, operated by 1-3 people, depending on the demands of the production, and struck in just a single hour.

The Results

With this new offering, we were able to provide the Federation with a simple solution to make every remote guest of the 2022 Leadership Issues Forum feel included and heard. Scribes and virtual moderators worked together with the various local and online breakout groups to bring concerns and commentary back to the group as a whole, and while individual tables cheered for each of their elected reporting delegates, the room as a whole erupted with applause for each of the virtual table delegates to welcome their homebound friends from around the country at each reporting session!
